Although they can't move very quickly, their lumbering charge is still fearsome, adorned by their 900 pound spike-covered shell. When frightened, they close themselves up into their shell, becoming invulnerable. However, it takes them a long time to get back on their feet and moving again due to the sheer weight of their shell. Their shells are harder than diamond, and could absorb the impact of a plane crash without so much as cracking. When an Eschargo dies, its empty shell whistles a mournful tune when the wind blows through its holes. Ancient civilizations used them for instruments and totems, and were believed to keep bad spirits away.

Lore: It's based on whelks, conch shells, musical shells, and large predatory mollusks. It's name is a combination of Escargot (a dish of cooked or live snails) and Charge (ram). Eschargo evolves from Shelk beginning at Level 37.
